Course Description:
This composition course will focus on the paragraph and will be organized around unity,support,coherence and sentence skills.
Course Objectives:
To give students many opportunities to practice and hopefully improve their general writing skills.

Requirements:
Students will be handing in a paragraph almost every week of the term. There will also be an in-class writing once each term.
Only English majors or minors can take this course. No auditors will be allowed under any circumstances.

Textbooks and References:
The text will be announced on the first day of class and will depend on the level and ability of the students.

Grading:
33% for attendance and participation. Students more than 12 minutes late are considered absent.
67% for at least 16 written assignments and/or exercises each term. No late papers are accepted.
